Why I do what I do and how I got here
Today I’m an ADHD Workplace & Strategy Consultant. I work with organizations on changing everyday practices that quietly burn out their best people, I train managers and leadership teams, I speak at conferences and events, and I still coach fellow ADHDers one to one.
Before specializing in ADHD and neurodiversity, I worked in corporate recruitment, startup HR consulting, and education, giving me insight from both organizational and individual perspectives.
My approach is shaped by my own late ADHD diagnosis, 5 years as an ADHD Coach, and 17 years of international experience living and working across multicultural, multilingual environments.
Originally from the United States, I’ve lived in Australia, South Korea, Colombia, and Germany, where I’ve lived since 2015.
I’m not doing this because I read about it. I’m doing it because I lived it.
Prior to my ADHD diagnosis in my early thirties, I’d spent my entire life unknowingly navigating situations outside my comfort zone, constantly adapting my own communication style and needs to fit communication norms and the needs of others.
I was translating 24/7 long before I ever lived in a country where I didn’t yet know the language. I was just translating neurotypical communication into a format my brain could actually compute, and then translating it right back again as best as I could.
I now use those skills to help others, because I don’t want anyone else to spend a decade struggling from job to job, or being written off in a job they should have been brilliant at. I don’t want organizations to lose valuable employees, simply because they didn’t know how to support them.
That’s why I do what I do.
